Kochi, October 3: Kochi Metro’s second reach was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today. The new four-km stretch, which will have five stations, would connect Palarivattom and Maharaja College. Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri was also present during the inauguration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the first reach from Aluva to Palarivattom covering 13.26 km on June 17. Former PM Manmohan Singh had laid the foundation for the ambitious project in September 2012.
