New Delhi, Oct 17: A survey by Pew Research has revealed that 52 per cent Indian respondents said that military rule was a good thing. However, people aged 50 and above do not support the idea of a military junta as they are the immediate descendants of those who fought for freedom and democracy of the country.

The survey report also said that four-fifths of Indians trust the government. The report said,”In India, where the economy has grown on average by 6.9% since 2012, 85% (of people) trust their national government.”
